Saratoga Forest Products produces 1 to 3 million b.f. of clears/Moulding/Shop and Common lumber each month at 4 dry kiln and plainer mills in Washington and Oregon. 30 Sawmills in the Pacific Northwest and Russia provide the raw materials that become further manufactured for the industrial marketplace. Through years of clean, steady, trouble free service, many of these sawmills have come to solely rely on Saratoga to re-manufacture and market this portion of their production. These long-term suppliers are often issued an open purchase order to ship as much as they can produce during a given pricing segment. Our 7 sales people are capable of keeping the volumes moving.
Our goal is to provide a product or service that is not offered by the larger less flexible mills, while still offering volume production. We have the ability to dry, edge, grade, sort to width, sort to length, provide special tallies, custom surface and saw specialty sizes if necessary to suit our customers needs. Planning ahead, most of these tasks can usually be provided at no extra cost. Most of the lumber manufactured is pre-sold prior to hitting the floor for that simple reason.
